Your development

We’ve designed our programmes to help you get the most out of the time you spend with us. Over two years you’ll be constantly helped and supported by an experienced member of staff who’ll act as your mentor. The Graduate Development Programme is made up of five main elements:

Management development, focusing on developing your personal effectiveness;

Safety, health, environment and quality, where you’ll learn crucial information about minimising personal risk to everyone on-site;

Technical, which will teach you core competencies like measurement, commercial awareness and supply chain;

Ambassador duties, giving you the opportunity to share your experiences at events and in schools;

Professional development, in which you’ll work towards registration with the professional body relevant to your discipline.

Applications should be made via our online system and include an up-to-date CV and covering letter. Your details will be reviewed and if you are successful you will be invited to interview.

Construction Management, Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Building Services and Architecture.

Yes, as long as you have a valid 'right to work' document.

Yes. We actively encourage our graduates to register with the relevant professional scheme and provide support in the form of a mentor to help you as you work towards professional registration.

We offer vacation placements to all our sponsored students as long as the work is available.

In addition to the financial benefits and the opportunity for industrial placements, we offer guidance and direction to help you complete your coursework successfully.

We have many projects across the UK so it’s likely there will be a location to suit you, although in some cases you may have to relocate.

At the end of your placement your line manager may recommend that we invite you to apply for sponsorship for your remaining years at university. If your application is approved you will receive a bursary paid on the condition that you work for Morgan Sindall for at least 30 months following graduation.

Yes. Where possible we visit universities each year, both at careers fairs and to make presentations.
